See my Games page for some fun ways to incorporate Health and Fitness into your Cub Scouting program.

Physical Fitness Belt Loop for Cub Scouts Since health and fitness is the core value for Cub Scouts for the month of May, this might be a good time to introduce the requirements for the Physical Fitness belt loop. This recognition is part of the Cub Scout Academics and Sports program
Cub Scout Nutrition Game - Food Pyramid Go Fish Game This is basically a go fish game with different types of food. I liked how the kids talked about the different types of food they saw on the cards.

Ideas for May Pack Meeting - Health and Fitness The core value for Cub Scouts for the month of May is Health and Fitness. According to the program helps health and fitness is:
Being personally committed to keeping our minds and bodies cleanand fit.Cub Scouts will learn that it is important and easy to eat a healthy diet and how a fitnessprogram can be part of their daily routine.
The Fast Food Song The Fast Food Song is fun for Scouts. It is an action song and would fit in well with a nutrition themed meeting.
May Cub Scout Theme - Cub Cafe (Health and Fitness) The core value for the month of May is Health and Fitness. Along with the regular pack meeting plan for this core value, BSA also plans to release a Cub Cafe theme.
Bazooka Bubblegum Song This is one of DS's favorite scout songs. We hear this one a lot at camp, on hikes, and on hayrides. I'll warn you that when they start singing this, they tend to sing it over and over and over again. The best I can describe the tune is that it is sort of a rap style tune.
Soccer Theme for Cub Scouts Soccer is a great sport for young boys because most of them can pick up the basic skills quickly. And it also promotes the BSA aim of fitness. So if you are looking for a theme for your pack meeting or a pack activity, consider soccer.
Nutrition Belt Loop for Cub Scouts If you are looking for something related to May's Health and Fitness theme, check out the Nutrition belt loop from the Cub Scout Academics and Sports Program. A pack meeting with a cookout could incorporate the requirements for this belt loop.
Cub Scout Pack Meeting Idea - Nutrition Belt Loop (Health and Fitness) Our Cub Pack worked on the Nutrition belt loop at the March Cub Scout Pack meeting. If you still need a pack meeting idea for May, this would also fit in well with May's core value of Health and Fitness.
