Thanksgiving Scoutmaster (or Cubmaster) Minute  This makes a nice Scoutmaster Minute or Cubmaster Minute or even just a good reflection for a family gathering at this time of year. This is based on something in some old BSA program helps

 

Philmont Grace  This grace is also known as the Wilderness Grace or the Worth Ranch Grace. It is attributed to Jerry Fulkerson from the Worth Ranch Scout Camp in Texas.

 

Thanksgiving Ideas for Scouts  This month I am featuring a Thanksgiving theme. I'll have some crafts and other ideas for the Cub Scouts, but there are also things which Boy Scouts and Venturers can do with this theme.

 

Tabletop Tipi Model  Scouts who are doing a Native American themed meeting or activity can create a simple tipi model to get the idea of how these versatile dwellings are constructed. We made these at a Cub Scout training session and they were very easy.

 

Addams Family Grace (Song)   This favorite Cub Scout grace is a song. The tune is the theme of the Addams Family show. (Hence the name.)

 

Johnny Appleseed Grace (Song)  Duty to God is an important part of Scouting, so don't forget to say grace at Scouting events. This is a non-denominational grace which would be appropriate at any meal.

 

BSA Tiger Den Meeting 9 - How Do You Celebrate and Making Decorations  This meeting plan covers Tiger Elective 1 - How Do You Celebrate? and Tiger Elective 2 - Making Decorations. The celebration which the plan mentions is a Blue and Gold banquet, but you could adjust this plan for a holiday celebration.

 

Hunting for Thanksgiving Dinner Skit  Here's a fun skit for a Pack meeting or a November campout. It is very easy and can be put on with almost any number of Scouts.

 

S bar F Scout Ranch Grace  Our council has several properties, but the one most Boy Scouts attend for summer camp is S bar F Scout Ranch. This is the S bar F Ranch grace.

 

Turkey Treat Cupcakes  Here's a fun dessert to make with your kids this time of year. Use it to fulfill Bear Achivement 9 (What's Cooking) requirement f: "With an adult, make a dessert for your family" or just for fun at a den meeting.
